"Great energy savings and, unlike the fluorescent equivalents, a genuine replacement for halogens: Virtually instant light, beam definition is good and colour is fine. Have just installed 10 on a single circuit with a V-Pro 400W trailing edge dimmer module (Product code: Z0JP400.19DT). It provides a good range of light levels continuously variable from a dim moonlight-like effect to full brightness with no flicker. Only downside is that they are much larger than halogen GU10s. They fitted fine as a replacement for a Megaman CFL downlight in its own fitting. However they are a bit tight on length in the recommended iCage fitting. Resolved the problem by replacing the Lamp Holder with a shallower one (product code GU10HOLDER) which saved 4 or 5mm on the total length of bulb and holder. "
