Bulb & Cap Types
Bulb Types - Incandescent
Incandescent light bulbs or incandescent lamps produce light by heating a metal wire to an extremely high temperature until the wire filament glows. The wire is protected from the air by a glass bulb which is either evacuated or filled with inert gas. These bulbs types are easily recognisable although are being phased out.
