Description
Fire rated LED downlights which are made up from two separate parts; Icage downlight housing and a GU10 LED bulb. Please choose which finish and LED you require from the product options. This easy to order kit provides you with everything you need, no drivers or transformers required.

iCage downlights comply with Building Regulations; Part B (fire safety), Part C (moisture protection), Part E (acoustics).
They are also comply with Part L (energy efficiency) when fitted with a suitable low energy bulb.
The Icage downlight design provides fire protection but also allows the LED bulb to ventilate which prolongs the life expectancy of 25,000 to 40,000 hours.
Ultra slim bezel made from die cast aluminium.
IP Rating: IP20 not suitable for bathroom use.

Icage Technology
The unique patented design of the icage downlight allows the lamp inside to ventilate whilst also maintaining its fire rating. When you put a halogen inside a standard fire rated downlight you are cutting off its air supply. This is like putting a lamp inside an oven. Halogens in-particular get very hot can reach temperatures of 130°C, this is one of the main reasons they don't last long, they over heat. Compare this to the Icage were temperatures would only reach 85°C (considerably less with LEDs). When you are buying expensive LED lamps that are supposed to last a lifetime, you want to make sure you get your moneys worth. The Icage is designed to let the lamp breathe and allow it to achieve its full life expectancy.

Great product and service

"Ordered these to replace some existing downlights, but discovered the cutouts were too big for this fitting. Because of the high quality, I decided to keep them for use elsewhere. ordered some adjustable units instead as they have a bigger bezel. Agree with Graeme's review the 7w masters are little tricky to fit, but you just need to wedge your finger between the rim and the GU10 connector to get the lamp to engage."

Nice looking item

"Looks great, well made, fair price. Am using them with Phillips Master LED bulb which are awkward to install into the fitting. I think replacing the bulds will be difficut when installed on the ceiling. Hoping that the LEDs will not need replacing for a long time!"
