From 1st September 2009 the European Union bans incandescent, halogen lamps and linear tungsten halogen lamps over 100W.
2D Compact fluorescent lamps.
Halogen candle and GLS lamps which are 30% energy saving compared to incandescent.
Low energy compact fluorescent light bulbs offer energy savings of 80% compared to incandescent.
When comparing prices of lamps always check the life expectancy to get an accurate comparison.
