With its pared-back, right-angle precision, Astro’s Rio wall light offers discreet architectural design to complement contemporary high-end domestic interiors. “Plaster is one of our favourite materials to design with,” said Astro Co-Founder James Bassant. “It enables clean, sharp lines to echo architectural features. With Rio, we have used plaster to create an unobtrusive yet stylish foil to the light which the unit emits.” Rio comes in vertical and horizontal formats.
Astro's plaster lighting is a celebration of one of nature’s most tactile materials, and comes in a range of smooth and fluted forms inspired by neoclassical and contemporary architecture. Choose from a range of plaster wall lights to cast a wash of light across a room, pared-down spotlights to deliver a seamless finish on a ceiling, or petite floor up lighters to create atmospheric mood lighting in dark corners. A durable yet versatile material, plaster looks timelessly elegant left bare with its matt white finish, but can also be painted to match any colour scheme.
