1 Select Finish
One of the best ways to choose the right finish is to make sure that your new downlights match other items in the room. Perhaps you've got brushed steel switches, sockets and door handles? Then brushed steel downlights would be a great match.

Polished chrome is popular for bathrooms as it matches taps and other bathroom equipment.

But matt white is our most popular finish as it blends less noticeably into the ceiling.

2 Select Colour Temperature
Most of the LED lights we offer are available in the big 3 colour temperatures which are:

2700K - Extra warm white has a warmer tone, like a halogen, although not quite as orange.

3000K - Warm white is a mid range colour tone. Not as orange as 2700K and not as harsh as 4000K. This is the most popular colour temperature.

4000K - Cool white (or neutral white), although clearer and slightly brighter than the others, it can make a room feel cold and clinical. Used correctly in the right environment it can make a room appear more modern.

If you're unsure about colour temperatures we have colour temperature adjustable downlights available. These downlights contain multiple colour temperatures that can be changed either by a dip switch, wall switch or App. More information about them can be found here.

If you want a brighter light then choose something with more lumens. The brightness difference in colour temperatures is barely 5%.

Aurora Enlite E6 Pro adjustable downlight is the matching gimbal version of the E6 Pro fixed. Allowing you to redirect the angle of light onto different areas within a room.

With a low energy 6W energy consumption, the E6 Pro is one of the most energy efficient LED downlights on the market. It has a light output of up to 680 to 700 lumens (depending on colour temperature) and an efficacy of up to 113-117 lumens per watt. Ideally you want to be choosing LED lights in general based on their lumen output and not the wattage. Wattage is a measurement of energy consumption and lumens is a measurement of brightness. As LED technology advances, wattage is decreasing and lumens are increasing. A downlighter with a higher lumen output and lower wattage has a superior design and is a better, more advanced choice.

As well as being dimmable and fire rated here are some of the other stand out features of the Aurora E6 Pro adjustable:

  • Contains the Aurora RapidWire connector. This is a new plug-in, removable wiring connector with push-fit loop-in and loop-out terminals. Designed to speed up installation times and make wiring easier. More information can be found in the video located at the bottom of this page. The video is based on the fixed version but it has all of the same features apart from not being IP65 rated/
  • Insulation coverable as standard. If you want to lay thermal insulation on top of it, to improve the energy efficiency of your home, you can.
  • Twice the life expectancy of the E8 at 50,000 hours and longer 5 year guarantee.
  • Featuring Aurora's EnFiniti lens. The edge-to-edge multifaceted polycarbonate design, that reduces glare and discomfort to the eye.

If you're looking to purchase one of the latest products and something that is going to be more future proof than others, then this would be our recommendation.

Compatible the new Aurora Aone Smart home automation system.
