1 Select Downlight Type
2 Select Finish One of the best ways to choose the right finish is to make sure that your new downlights match other items in the room. Perhaps you've got brushed steel switches, sockets and door handles? Then brushed steel downlights would be a great match. Polished chrome is popular for bathrooms as it matches taps and other bathroom equipment. But matt white is our most popular finish as it blends less noticeably into the ceiling.
3 Select Colour Temperature
Most of the LED lights we offer are available in the big 3 colour temperatures which are:

2700K - Extra warm white has a warmer tone, like a halogen, although not quite as orange.

3000K - Warm white is a mid range colour tone. Not as orange as 2700K and not as harsh as 4000K. This is the most popular colour temperature.

4000K - Cool white (or neutral white), although clearer and slightly brighter than the others, it can make a room feel cold and clinical. Used correctly in the right environment it can make a room appear more modern.

If you're unsure about colour temperatures we have colour temperature adjustable downlights available. These downlights contain multiple colour temperatures that can be changed either by a dip switch, wall switch or App. More information about them can be found here.

If you want a brighter light then choose something with more lumens. The brightness difference in colour temperatures is barely 5%.

The Aurora E8 has now become one of our most popular LED downlights. It is the flagship product of the Aurora Enlite range, which is a selection of cost effective, high performance lighting products. The E8 is a low energy alternative to the power hungry 50W halogen, providing a more efficient and longer lasting lighting installation with it's 25,000 hour lifetime expectancy and minimal 8W power consumption.

With a light output of up to 620 lumens, it offers a bright lighting effect. Combined with the wide beam angle of 60 degrees, it spreads more light out further allowing for fewer downlights to be needed. If you don't need something quite as bright as the E8 or want something smaller in size then checkout the E5 LED downlight.

The E8 is available in the choice of matt white, polished chrome or satin nickel bezel options and in warm or cool white colour temperatures.

The LED is integrated into the fitting and is supplied with everything you need. It is also insulation coverable as standard without needing any other accessories. Also available in an adjustable version as well as fixed IP65. All of our prices include the die-cast bezel.

Compatible with many smart lighting systems including Lightwave RF, Lutron and the new Aurora Aone Smart home automation system.

Used chiefly to brighten the kitchen area. Recommend to anyone who intends to replace old MR16’s or GU10’s. The quality is exceptional except for the push connectors which are a bit fiddly and need a lot of patience to get used to.
