Product Questions & Answers
Hi
I am looking at purchasing these lights for my outdoor steps. Do they come with a 5 metre lead as need to get the wiring to an accessible point. Also how many lights can I connect on 1 driver.
Kind Regards
PaulQuestion by: Paul Stephenson on 20 Apr 2022, 09:32The LED driver has input and output cables which are:
Cable input length: 1.8m cable with UK plug
Output cable length: 0.5M with female connector
If you use this plug-in extension cable it will extend the output by 5M:

We also have these T connector cables with 1 input and 6 outputs:
https://www.downlightsdirect.co.uk/2-pin-t-connection-cable.html
The 8W LED driver is capable of powering up to 13 of these lights. You would need 3x T connector cables which gives you 18 outputs but you should only use 13 due to the power rating.
We also have bigger 30W LED drivers which could power up to 50 lights:

Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 20 Apr 2022, 12:07I am converting a pair of former halogen cabinet lights to led. The bulbs are 12 v G4 and are 1.1w each. I'm looking for a driver which will do the job. I was told by an electrician friend that it should be constant voltage (so I can run them in parallel. Have you got a suitable driver? If not, could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks.Question by: Grant on 10 Feb 2024, 14:37If your G4 LEDs operate on DC, this would be a suitable driver: https://www.downlightsdirect.co.uk/led-driver-12w-12v-dc-powerled.html
Some LED retrofit lamps, mainly the MR16 type operate on AC, so its best to double check.Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 11 Feb 2024, 08:43
