Colour changing LED lighting is known as RGB which stands for red, green and blue. By mixing these three primary colours you can create up to 16 different colours meaning you are no longer limited to just one boring colour. This allows the colour of light to be changed at the touch of a button to reflect your mood or the function of the room. Using the remote control you can create anything from a prominent blue background light to a flashing disco style party atmosphere.

Features

  • Fitted with a mains voltage GU10 cap that requires no special LED drivers.
  • Suitable for retro-fitting into existing GU10 downlights, although the physical size of the lamps is slightly deeper so they won't fit into all downlight housings.
  • We recommend the Icage downlights which are not only fire rated but only open rated, meaning they also allow the LED to ventilate.
  • Remote control operated, or can be controlled using a wall mounted controller or DMX software.
  • Achieve 16 different colours - including a clear white light in case you get tired of the colour changing effects.
  • 4 different modes of operation including flash, strobe, fade and smooth.
  • Dimmable.
  • Life expectancy 30,000 hours.
  • When more than one colour changing LEDs are required, one master and up to thirty two slaves should be ordered.

There are three installation types for colour changing GU10 LEDS:

1. Single Colour Changing LED:

Order one master LED (LED05RMTGU10-MASTER) and one remote control (IRC161). This installation is straightforward and requires no additional wiring. The master will have green and white cables but these can be snipped off and tucked away. See below...

2. Master and Slave Combination - The Most Popular Choice:

This installation requires the use of a master RGB LED (LED05RMTGU10-MASTER) and a slave RGB LED (LED05RMTGU10-SLAVE). A remote control will also be required (IRC161). You need to order at least one master and up to thirty two slaves. These LEDs fit into a GU10 downlight which provides power to them. They also have a green and white signal wire that must be connected to each other in series. This way you only have to control the master which sends the signal to the slaves. Other cheaper RGB LEDs have to be change individually. See below...

3. LED Lamp Controller (RSC-165) and Slaves:

This is a slightly more complicated installation but allows you more freedom to create various lighting effects and scenes. The lamp controller becomes the master and the appropriate amount of slaves can be added. Up to ninety six slaves can be used in this installation. If more colour changing GU10 LEDs are required then a repeater (RSC167) should be used. Each repeater allows an additional thirty two slaves to be added to the circuit. If you want even more, just keep adding repeaters and slaves to the circuit.

Similar to this installation you can use your own DMX controller.
