The Ricoman R3 CCT (Correlated Colour Temperature) adjustable downlight is a great downlight option for users who want a remote controllable lighting option. The remote control (model AX500) must be ordered separately. Colour switching can also be done with an ordinary light switch and dimmed with preset dimming levels, with more functions available via the remote. Including options to group lights in zones.

Colour temperature switching technology has become increasingly popular as you're not just limited to one colour tone. Most rooms are used for different functions, so why should the colour tone be the same?

The warmer colour tone is great for relaxing to, while the cooler, daylight tones assist your circadian rhythm, helping you to feel more alert and ready to take on a difficult task like playing Scrabble, cooking or tackling some spreadsheets. Some other stand-out features of the R3 model is the low profile depth of just 63mm. It also has a higher CRI (Colour Rendering Index) of Ra90. The higher CRI rating is somewhat of a rarity within the integrated LED downlight world even though retrofit LED lamps have adapted it for years. Higher colour rendering LEDs deliver more accurate colour reproduction, closer to how your eyes would view them under daylight conditions which would be Ra100. In comparison, normal integrated LED downlights are Ra80.
