With its open rated design (pioneered by the Ansell iCage), ultra slim die cast, twist on bezel and push fit terminal connector block with loop-in, loop-out connectivity, it has it all.
Open rated downlights provide airflow to GU10 LEDs and allows them to keep cool. Older style black fire can downlight housings cut off the air supply and allows heat to build up which eventually causes the LED to fail. Edge downlights maximize airflow and lets the LED breathe.
Although the Edge isn't insulation cover-able, Ansell do have an insulation cover guard accessory which can be added if you need it. Available in 9 variations altogether which include fixed, adjustable and IP65 for bathrooms, each is available in matt white, polished chrome and satin chrome.

An ordinary GU10 LED is around 54mm in depth.
