The DMX version is a available in a single zone or 4 zone version. The RF/Wi-Fi version has 4 zones as standard. 4 zone wall controllers are used for controlling multiple runs of LED lighting. The buttons have a toggle facility that allows you to control each zone individually or simultaneously.
This range of LED wall controllers are easy to use and allows colours to be changed through the colour wheel. Ideal for use when a stationary wall mounted controller is required. The RF version can be used as well as a hand held remote control see SR-2818.
General Specification
- Fits onto a 1 gang 25mm deep standard back box.
- Wall mount colour changing controller for use with colour changing LED lights such as LED strip tape, ground lights and many other RGB, RGBW or RGBWW LED lights.
- Also has mode settings including speed and brightness adjustment.
- Can be used to replace an ordinary wall switch. See voltage requirements for each version below.
- Manufacturer: LED Strip Fit
- Guarantee: 3 years
DMX Specification (SR-2811WDMX single zone or SR-2812WDMX 4 zone)
- Available in single zone or 4 zone versions.
- Requires an additional DMX driver such as SR-2102B for constant voltage LEDs such as LED tape or SR-2112B or SR-2114B for constant current lights with a 350ma or 700ma input.
- The 4 zone DMX controller requires 4 DMX drivers (1 per zone).
- The controller is wired from the LED driver (for supply voltage) and wired into the DMX driver for signal.
- Input voltage: 12-24V DC
- Available in white with black available on request.
- DMX version is ideal for use with longer runs as multiple DMX drivers can be used to split up the load.
- Max current / wattage: Depends on the DMX driver(s) as they carry the load.
RF / Wi-Fi Specification (SR-2820)
- Requires an RF receiver such as SR-1009FA.
- Allows 4 separate zones to be controlled individually using multiple receivers.
- Available in black or white, please choose from the product options.
- Input voltage: 230V AC
- Ideal for use in applications that have no space for running additional connecting cables.
- Max current / wattage: Depends on the RF receiver(s) as they carry the load.
FAQ'sQ1) Which one should I choose?
A1) If your installation is simple and short (around 10 metres) then go for the DMX version, they require an additional DMX driver but wiring is quick and simple. If you can't physically run a cable between the controller and the DMX driver then choose the RF version which is wire-free.Q2) I only have a 230V supply for the wall controller as I'm replacing a light switch, what do I do?
A3) The SR-2820 wall controller is now mains voltage. It then works wire-less from the receiver.Q3) What is the longest length of LED strip I can run off them?
A3) By adding more amplifiers and drivers you can go infinitely. LED tape is generally limited to 10M runs due to voltage drop issues but you can wire the input cables directly back to the DMX driver or receiver, then butt the LED tapes up next to each other to make it appear like one continuous run. For rectangle or square shaped installations you can position the DMX driver or receiver in the corner and run the LED tape in an L shape configurable. Mains voltage is 230V AC and has a tolerance of 10%, some products are 220V or 240V AC which means they can be classed as mains voltage.
DC voltages usually require an LED driver to convert the mains voltage AC into low voltage DC. Popular DC voltages are 12V or 24V DC.

Product Questions & Answers
Can this unit be powered from the same 24V power supply as the DMX decoders?
Is the colour wheel touch-sensitive, or do i have to manually change RDB levels on the RGB buttons?
Can I use it with RGB strip (no white channel connected)?Question by: Mark on 21 Mar 2024, 01:02Yes, it can be used with the same 24V supply as the DMX decoders.
Yes, the colour wheel is touch sensitive. We have a 1 zone or a 4 zone version. You can toggle between the zones and set zone 1 to blue and zone 2 to red, or set them all to green (for example).
Yes, this works with RGB perfectly well. The W button on the wall controller will just be redundant, but everything else will work fine.
We have instruction sheets for these in the downloads tab which show some wiring diagrams.
Let us know if you have any further questions or require a project quotation with the LED tape and drivers.Answer by: Chris Horridge (Admin) on 21 Mar 2024, 08:30 -
