The Project: Replacing  Burnt out Downlights For LED Downlights.

I replaced existing GU50 spotlights which had burnt as the surrounding insulation caused existing units to overheat and pose a fire risk. As LED's consume less energy and emit less heat I decided to upgrade to the Halers H2 Dimmable downlight as well as removing the offending insulation.

Overall an excellent upgrade in both energy savings and appearance. The Halers was a great choice from the Collingwood downlights collection. Backed by a 7 year guarantee and a 70,000 hour life expectancy I knew I was purchasing a quality product and I wasn't disappointed with the investment.

Problems: Besides chipping the plaster removing the old downlights, we experienced no issues. My kitchen lighting has now exceeded my expectations and its 90% more energy efficient which should pay for itself in just a few years.
